Sessions court judge Roslan Hamid allowed bail at RM3,000 with one surety.
PETALING JAYA: A company director claimed trial at the sessions court in Butterworth, Penang to a charge of holding office despite being an undischarged bankrupt.
Yusri Husain was charged with acting as Elit Mestika Global (M) Sdn Bhd’s director Nov 18, 2024 despite being a bankrupt or failing to obtain the court’s permission to discharge his duties as a director.
The charge was framed under the Companies Act 2016.
In a statement, the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) said sessions court judge Roslan Hamid allowed bail at RM3,000 with one surety.
Roslan also fixed July 22 for mention.
The prosecution was conducted by SSM officer Amir Sharifuddin Hashim, while the accused was unrepresented.
