Four Years of Celebrating LGBTQIA+ Leadership in FinTech
Innovate Finance is proud to open applications for the fourth Pride in FinTech Powerlist, which has recognised individuals across 50 organisations since its inception.
Previous Powerlist honourees have included leaders from organisations including Airwallex, Allica Bank, Alloy, ClearBank, ClearScore, the FCA, Funding Circle, iwoca, J.P. Morgan, Kyndryl, Monzo, NatWest, PensionBee, Revolut, Ripple, Santander, S&W, Starling Bank, Travers Smith, Thought Machine, TrueLayer, Xero, Zilch, Zopa and many more – reflecting the breadth and depth of LGBTQIA+ leadership across the sector.
Pride in FinTech Mentorship Programme is a new initiative running from June to December 2026. It pairs experienced senior professionals from across FinTech and financial services with early-to-mid career individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community.
All confirmed mentors will be announced on the Innovate Finance Pride in FinTech page so that mentees can browse profiles and reach out directly. The programme will close at the Pride in FinTech celebratory event in December 2026.
The Pride in FinTech Leadership Council brings together senior LGBTQIA+ leaders and allies from across the FinTech ecosystem to provide strategic direction and advocacy for the Pride in FinTech initiative. The Council will leverage its networks to support partnerships, mentor recruitment and community engagement, and will provide founding members with thought leadership visibility and recognition as D&I champions across the sector.
Janine Hirt, CEO, Innovate Finance, said: “Innovate Finance’s Pride in FinTech programme is about celebrating and supporting the outstanding LGBTQIA+ community in FinTech and financial services. For four years running, our Pride in FinTech Powerlist has recognised the individuals transforming financial services for the better, and with today’s launch of our Mentorship Programme and our Pride in FinTech Leadership Council, we are incredibly excited to drive even greater positive impact across the sector.”
