Ethereum Foundation Highlights Chainlink as Key Privacy and Compliance Partner for Institutional Adoption

  • Ethereum Foundation’s endorsement of Chainlink’s ACE signals growing institutional trust in privacy-focused compliance for tokenized assets.
  • ACE merges on-chain identity checks with off-chain privacy tools, enabling regulated blockchain operations.

Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) has received formal recognition from the Ethereum Foundation, now being considered a top privacy and compliance solution for institutions building on Ethereum.

This endorsement reflects increasing attention on regulatory requirements tied to tokenized assets as their presence grows across global financial markets.

ACE uses the ERC-3643 token standard, and it includes identity checks and rule enforcement directly inside the token’s design. This helps users and issuing organizations meet KYC and AML requirements when they trade on public blockchain networks. It allows organizations to stay transparent while following regulated systems.

This tool is built to handle compliance work both on and off the blockchain. It checks identities, manages the token life cycle, and maintains privacy at every stage of asset issuance and exchange. Many financial service providers see ACE as a base for combining privacy and compliance in their blockchain operations.

Privacy Without Compromising Regulation

One of ACE’s main strengths is its privacy-preserving identity verification. Through this process, companies can check that the credentials are valid without revealing personal details. They use cryptographic proof for verification, so personal data does not go on the blockchain.

Because of this, businesses with strict compliance and data protection rules are interested in using it.

Apex Group works with Chainlink’s institutional partners to support tokenization through practical frameworks. Their goal is to bring a regulated digital asset system to the market. The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) is also part of this effort, adding its verified legal identity system (vLEIs) to ACE.

Chainlink Labs had developed earlier privacy tools before ACE, such as DECO, a zero-knowledge proof protocol that verified the authenticity of data without exposing the data itself. These early innovations helped form the privacy features in ACE, which are now rolled out with a stronger focus on compliance.

Shared Identity Across Blockchain Networks

ACE also includes a Cross-Chain Identity (CCID) framework. This part stores cryptographic proofs of verified identities instead of a user’s actual data. With this system, people and companies can use their verified credentials on different platforms without going through registration again and without exposing their personal information.

GLEIF’s vLEI helps build real trust between organizations in the blockchain world. These digital IDs let auditors and regulators find which legal entities are part of a transaction without affecting privacy. This way, both monitoring and confidentiality stay in balance.

The ACE system is designed to meet both compliance and practical needs. It combines privacy protection with identity management to help token issuers follow international regulations while keeping users’ sensitive information safe from exposure.

Chainlink kept growing its work in this field over time. At first, the project became known for giving decentralized data through oracles. Later, it expanded its reach by building a privacy infrastructure under DECO. That early work formed the base for ACE, which now brings several tools together under one compliance system.

(Photo by Paul Natkin/Getty Images) Getty Images Singer Lou Gramm has a vivid memory of recording the ballad “Waiting for a Girl Like You” at New York City’s Electric Lady Studio for his band Foreigner more than 40 years ago. Gramm was adding his vocals for the track in the control room on the other side of the glass when he noticed a beautiful woman walking through the door. “She sits on the sofa in front of the board,” he says. “She looked at me while I was singing. And every now and then, she had a little smile on her face. I’m not sure what that was, but it was driving me crazy. “And at the end of the song, when I’m singing the ad-libs and stuff like that, she gets up,” he continues. “She gives me a little smile and walks out of the room. And when the song ended, I would look up every now and then to see where Mick [Jones] and Mutt [Lange] were, and they were pushing buttons and turning knobs. They were not aware that she was even in the room. So when the song ended, I said, ‘Guys, who was that woman who walked in? She was beautiful.’ And they looked at each other, and they went, ‘What are you talking about? We didn’t see anything.’ But you know what? I think they put her up to it. Doesn’t that sound more like them?” “Waiting for a Girl Like You” became a massive hit in 1981 for Foreigner off their album 4, which peaked at number one on the Billboard chart for 10 weeks and…

First Multi-Asset Crypto ETP Opens Door to Institutional Adoption

The post First Multi-Asset Crypto ETP Opens Door to Institutional Adoption appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has officially approved the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund (GDLC) for trading on the stock exchange. The decision comes as the SEC also relaxes ETF listing standards. This approval provides easier access for traditional investors and signals a major regulatory shift, paving the way for institutional capital to flow into the crypto market. The fund’s primary goal is to expose investors to the most significant digital assets in the market without requiring them to buy, store, or secure the coins directly. In July, the SEC delayed its decision to convert GDLC from an OTC fund into an exchange-listed ETP on NYSE Arca, citing further review. However, the latest developments raise investors’ hopes that a multi-asset crypto ETP from Grayscale will soon become a reality. Approval under the Generic Listing Standards will help “streamline the process,” opening the door for more crypto ETPs. Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and ADA investors are the most…
