Marshall Browning Hospital (MBH) has announced its decision to integrate Oracle Health CommunityWorks solutions to advance healthcare delivery and streamline operations within its rural community, according to oracle.com. This significant move aims to optimize financial outcomes and elevate patient care, addressing the unique challenges faced by smaller and rural health systems.

Strategic Adoption of Advanced EHR Systems

MBH, a critical access hospital with 25 beds and 26 physicians, is transitioning from a fragmented legacy electronic health record (EHR) system to Oracle Health CommunityWorks. This strategic shift is designed to integrate the hospital’s operations across its acute hospital, rehabilitation center, and provider clinics, reducing inefficiencies and administrative burdens on healthcare providers.

Oracle Health CommunityWorks is tailored specifically for rural healthcare organizations, offering digital infrastructure, seamless interoperability, and virtual care capabilities. These technologies aim to alleviate staffing burdens and enhance patient access, crucial for rural health systems.

Leveraging AI to Enhance Patient Care

In addition to the EHR system, MBH will adopt Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent, a voice-driven solution that streamlines workflows and clinical documentation. This technology allows physicians to focus more on patient care by automating the drafting of structured notes from patient interactions, which reduces the administrative workload and helps prevent provider burnout.

Stephanie Hall, Chief Nursing Officer at MBH, highlighted the benefits of this partnership, stating that it empowers providers with tools to reduce administrative tasks, allowing them to concentrate on patient care. The integration of smarter, data-driven decisions is expected to expand community access and maintain MBH’s status as a trusted healthcare provider.

Enhancing Financial and Operational Efficiencies

The adoption of Oracle Health solutions will also enable MBH to establish a unified EHR across its health system, ensuring efficient workflows and timely access to information. This system will automate billing and claims processes, thereby improving accuracy and accelerating the payment cycle. MBH plans to utilize the built-in reporting capabilities of the system to derive near real-time financial insights, crucial for increasing revenue capture and financial stability.

Seema Verma, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences, emphasized Oracle’s commitment to supporting rural health systems with AI-powered solutions. The collaboration aims to optimize outcomes, enhance financial sustainability, and ensure access to safe and compassionate care for patients, regardless of their location.

UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

The post UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The UK and US are reportedly preparing to deepen cooperation on digital assets, with Britain looking to copy the Trump administration’s crypto-friendly stance in a bid to boost innovation.  UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed on Tuesday how the two nations could strengthen their coordination on crypto, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.  The discussions also involved representatives from crypto companies, including Coinbase, Circle Internet Group and Ripple, with executives from the Bank of America, Barclays and Citi also attending, according to the report. The agreement was made “last-minute” after crypto advocacy groups urged the UK government on Thursday to adopt a more open stance toward the industry, claiming its cautious approach to the sector has left the country lagging in innovation and policy.  Source: Rachel Reeves Deal to include stablecoins, look to unlock adoption Any deal between the countries is likely to include stablecoins, the Financial Times reported, an area of crypto that US President Donald Trump made a policy priority and in which his family has significant business interests. The Financial Times reported on Monday that UK crypto advocacy groups also slammed the Bank of England’s proposal to limit individual stablecoin holdings to between 10,000 British pounds ($13,650) and 20,000 pounds ($27,300), claiming it would be difficult and expensive to implement. UK banks appear to have slowed adoption too, with around 40% of 2,000 recently surveyed crypto investors saying that their banks had either blocked or delayed a payment to a crypto provider.  Many of these actions have been linked to concerns over volatility, fraud and scams. The UK has made some progress on crypto regulation recently, proposing a framework in May that would see crypto exchanges, dealers, and agents treated similarly to traditional finance firms, with…
