Bitnomial Gains Regulatory Approval to Launch Crypto Prediction Markets

3 min read

Bitnomial Clearinghouse received approval from the CFTC to clear fully collateralized swaps. This regulatory milestone enables the launch of regulated crypto prediction markets.

Bitnomial Clearinghouse LLC has received crucial approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This regulatory green light helps the firm to clear up completely collateralized swaps. As a result, its parent company, Bitnomial, is now able to create regulated prediction markets in the United States. The approval also gives the clearinghouse permission to offer services to other trading platforms.

The approval by the CFTC greatly expands Bitnomial’s ability to offer a regulated market. According to a Friday announcement, Bitnomial’s prediction markets are going to be focused on crypto-related and macroeconomic events. These contracts are created to give the participants the option to take positions on outcomes. This includes the token price thresholds and important key economic indicators.

Unified Regulatory Structure Improves Capital Efficiency

The new products will work in conjunction with Bitnomial’s existing derivatives suite. Therefore, this expands on its regulated offerings under one regulatory framework. With this approval, Bitnomial becomes the sole full-service US exchange and clearing house. It offers perpetuals, futures, options, leverage spot trading, and now prediction markets.

All these products are operated through an integrated liquidity pool. This provides the opportunity for consistent margining and risk management for all instruments. This integration is aimed at enhancing both the capital efficiency and trading flexibility to the market participants. The single margin pool implies the traders can post collateral once and trade all products.

Notably, Bitnomial is currently the only crypto-based margin collateral and settlement clearinghouse in the U.S. Approved participants are able to post and settle margin directly in digital assets. This is a key capability. It distinguishes Bitnomial from conventional clearing houses. This ability is part of changing preferences of institutional traders.

Neutral Clearing Model Targets Ecosystem Growth

Bitnomial Clearinghouse stressed its role as a neutral clearing provider. The firm is strictly engaged in infrastructure. It offers clearing, settlement and margin services. This means that partners can make use of its systems without competing directly with each other for end users. This approach supports the wider participation of the ecosystems within compliant regulatory structures.

Through this model, partners get access to collateral mobility. This mobility exists within U.S. dollars as well as digital assets. They also enjoy the same margin and settlement infrastructure that supports Bitnomial’s Derivatives complex. However, access is dependent on individual regulatory approvals by each partner.

Michael Dunn, president of Bitnomial Exchange and Clearinghouse, sees this development as very optimistic. He referred to prediction markets as the next frontier for regulated derivatives. He added that there is no other venue in the US that has this option of bringing together these products with unified trading, clearing and margin capabilities.

The prediction markets of the Bitnomial Exchange will complement what it already offers. The integrated structure helps participants to more precisely hedge risks across correlated products. Ultimately, the clearing approval gives Bitnomial into both its own exchange and external partners. This increases the strength of the overall prediction market ecosystem greatly.

Born Again’ Season 3 Way Before Season 2

The post Born Again’ Season 3 Way Before Season 2 appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Daredevil Born Again Marvel MCU fans were thrilled that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil was being brought back to life after his unceremonious execution after his show’s Netflix run, where everything was transitioning to Disney Plus. Born Again felt like a moment that would never come, and when it did, it mostly satisfied fans, with few exceptions. Now, according to a new IGN interview with head of TV Brad Winderbaum, Marvel has greenlit Daredevil: Born Again for season 3, well before season 2 airs in March 2026. Originally, the plan was an 18-episode run across two seasons, but Marvel seems to have much larger plans for Matt Murdoch and his series. This is a combination of two things. First, the positive fan reception to season 1. While there were some hiccups here, where the middle of the season had parts of the previously canned version of the show they had to work around, the first and last few episodes were incredible, and that’s the team making all of season 2 and presumably season 3 going forward. So, that’s great news. Second, this is a move by Marvel to reduce the cost of its endless supply of Disney Plus shows by focusing on more “street level” content. MCU series have been all over the place in terms of their focus and their budgets, culminating in the ridiculous $212 million budget for six episodes of the VFX-heavy Secret Invasion, one of the worst things Marvel has ever produced. Now? The name of the game is lower costs. Agatha All Along was a prime example of this, one of the MCU’s cheapest projects ever but one of its best shows. Disney is investing deeper into the “Daredevil-verse” here, as season 2 of Born Again features Jessica Jones, who might be destined to return for her…
