The crypto market is heading into a highly volatile week as several major macroeconomic events converge, creating increased downside risk across digital assets. Bitcoin is expected to experience sharp price swings, with some analysts anticipating a short-term dip before any potential recovery.

Historical patterns show that such events often create sudden dips, which smart investors can use to their advantage. With volatility expected, carefully analyzing these shifts is key to spotting the best crypto to buy now before markets react and prices adjust.

Crypto Investors Brace for Impact: Key Economic Events Could Push Bitcoin Lower

A key driver of uncertainty is the Bank of Japan’s upcoming interest rate decision, with markets largely pricing in a significant hike. Michaël van de Poppe notes that it wouldn’t be surprising if a classic sweep occurs.

Past trends indicate that previous rate increases by the Bank of Japan have often coincided with notable Bitcoin pullbacks, underscoring the significance of this event for global risk assets.

At the same time, a backlog of critical U.S. economic data is set to be released following delays caused by a government shutdown. This includes employment figures, retail sales data, business inventories, and the Consumer Price Index.

Labor market weakness has already influenced recent Federal Reserve decisions, and fresh data could further impact market sentiment. If these reports or the Bank of Japan decision deliver negative surprises, Bitcoin could fall into the mid-$70,000 range, dragging the broader crypto market lower.

The combination of monetary policy uncertainty and delayed macroeconomic data points to elevated volatility and increased bearish pressure in the near term, making this a critical week for crypto investors.

Top Crypto to Buy During Market Pullbacks

Despite near-term volatility, market pullbacks often create opportunities to accumulate high-quality assets at more attractive price levels. Investors tend to focus on projects with strong fundamentals, real-world utility, and sustained development during periods of macro uncertainty.

As market conditions stabilize and liquidity improves, select assets may be positioned for stronger upside momentum. Here is the list of the best crypto to buy now, each of which will be discussed in detail below.

Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin has recently lost a key support level, signaling the potential for a sharp decline in the near term. Current market conditions show heavy short positions, which could indicate a temporary bullish reaction, but the overall bias remains toward a downward move.

The critical level to watch is $89,500. If Bitcoin fails to reclaim this price, a drop toward $87,000 is likely. Ali Martinez on X notes a potential warning for Bitcoin, stating that the key support to hold is $86,000. If it breaks, $70,000 could become the next target.

Caution is advised when considering new trades, as market reactions at key levels will dictate potential strategies. The immediate outlook for Bitcoin is uncertain, with the risk of a downward move remaining elevated.

Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum has recently faced significant bearish pressure, breaking below its key support level around $3,200. Market conditions suggest that $ETH may struggle to reclaim the $3,500 level, which would be necessary for it to outperform Bitcoin in the near term.

Technical analysis indicates that, without strong positive catalysts, Ethereum is more likely to trade sideways or slightly lower. The market structure implies a modest bearish bias, with potential support near $2,850 if the current range persists.

However, crypto analyst That Martini Guy, who has over 700,000 followers on X, remains optimistic, stating that Ethereum’s chart looks very bullish and that $ETH is poised for a strong move, making it one of the best crypto to buy now.

XRP (XRP)

XRP is at the center of growing institutional interest, benefiting from regulatory clarity and established infrastructure. Its recent market activity highlights the critical role of over-the-counter (OTC) trading in institutional accumulation.

While retail investors may focus on short-term price movements, major institutions are strategically accumulating, recognizing long-term potential in its utility and market positioning. The asset has endured legal scrutiny and regulatory challenges, emerging stronger and more resilient.

The XRP-to-Bitcoin pairing shows upside potential if Bitcoin and market liquidity rise, with conservative estimates pointing to notable gains. Recent fluctuations, including sell-offs, are primarily seen as strategic positioning and liquidity management rather than signs of weakness.

Solana (SOL)

Solana has gained attention through its Breakpoint event, showcasing key developments within its ecosystem. Increased activity from platforms like Meteora and other projects highlights growing adoption and innovation.

Financial institutions such as JP Morgan are also exploring Solana for tokenization purposes, further adding credibility to the network. ETF inflows have been steady, totaling $163 million, reflecting continued investor interest, even if daily fluctuations can offset gains.

Solana’s short-term price action remains highly correlated with Bitcoin, making it susceptible to broader market movements, particularly during periods of high volatility in December. If Solana dips below its key support levels, it could present a favorable buying window.

Bitcoin Hyper (HYPER)

As Bitcoin drops beneath $90,000, Bitcoin Hyper presale captures interest as a layer 2 solution, enabling rapid, low-fee transactions and full DeFi applications on the Bitcoin network.

Unlike traditional altcoins, the project has no private rounds, with a fully public presale attracting nearly $29.5 million so far. Analysts highlight that its unique Solana-based virtual machine integration opens new opportunities for trading, staking, and dApps directly on Bitcoin.

Coinbase Vs. State Regulators: Crypto Exchange Fights Legal Fragmentation

US-based crypto exchange Coinbase has made a significant appeal to the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding a wave of lawsuits aimed at its operations. The company is urging federal action to address what it describes as an “increasingly fragmented and hostile” regulatory landscape for the crypto market. Coinbase Urges Federal Action  In a recent letter, Coinbase highlighted the steps taken by the current Administration to create a more equitable framework for digital asset regulation. This includes the introduction of stablecoin legislation and two pending bipartisan market-structure bills aimed at fostering uniformity in the oversight of cryptocurrencies.  Coinbase argues that these initiatives have begun to mitigate the adverse effects of the previous Administration’s enforcement-driven regulatory approach.  However, the company warns that certain states are perpetuating this problematic trend by adopting “expansive and flawed” interpretations of securities laws and implementing new licensing requirements that undermine the federal government’s pro-innovation stance. Coinbase has faced cease-and-desist orders from four states, which demand the company halt its retail staking services. These orders are deemed by Coinbase as “legally unfounded and inconsistent.” Unified Framework For Digital Assets In light of these challenges, the letter to the DOJ calls for urgent federal intervention to establish broad preemption provisions. The crypto exchange argues that preemption has historically been an effective tool for addressing state interference in national markets, referencing past Congressional actions. Coinbase contends that the current patchwork of state regulations not only disrupts market efficiency but also leads to unequal access to cryptocurrency services based on geographic location. Such clarity would help prevent states from imposing conflicting regulations based on their interpretations of securities laws. Featured image from Shutterstock, chart from TradingView.com
