Bitcoin in Free Fall Below $86,000–Digitap ($TAP) Banking Utility Ranks Best Crypto Presale 2026

Bitcoin is in free fall below $86,000, and the debate is over—this is bear market price action. Bounces are weak, price continues to whipsaw both ways, and liquidity is drying up. In this environment, investors pivot to utility, real adoption, and things that still work, earn, and scale.

Most of the best cryptos to buy now are in the PayFi lane, with majors looking so ugly. These enterprises are still scaling and are unaffected by the broader market sentiment as stablecoin supply continues to skyrocket.

The Digitap ($TAP) crypto presale has become a market leader because it continues shipping banking utility even while the market bleeds. It is rapidly becoming one of the most interesting altcoins to buy and, with its global money app live today and thousands already spending on its Visa cards, it could become a defining play next year.

Here’s what investors need to know.

Bitcoin is the market leader. The cleanest digital hard money trade in all of crypto, that’s why it matters so much when it starts to break down. BTC finds liquidity before equities, and always almost always sells off before equities.

$86,000 matters because BTC currently rests on the 100-week moving average, and below this level, there is no support to be found until $66,000. While BTC remains one of the best cryptos to buy now for long-term exposure to the industry, the risk-to-reward levels here favor shorts and bears.

The market has stopped buying dips automatically and is starting to become much more selective. BTC falling another 20% from here means major altcoins could fall 50% and that’s why investors are growing more cautious. And that’s what bear markets do well: they force the market to ignore momentum and focus on value. That’s why the Digitap crypto presale is thriving.

Why the Digitap ($TAP) Crypto Presale is Thriving

Digitap’s product thesis is simple. It is a live omni-bank where fiat, stablecoins, and crypto sit together in one balance, and the user experience looks and feels like a modern neobank. It adds a Visa card so users can spend their on-chain balances in the real economy.

The whole point of Digitap is offering users the services they know and love with upgraded rails underneath. Below the surface is a multi-rail engine. It can send transactions on blockchains and on traditional banking rails thanks to Digitap’s licensed banking partners. Users get the familiarity and trust of TradFi with the speed of crypto.

This is basic financial plumbing done incredibly well, and Digitap’s biggest strength is its ability to deliver stablecoin settlement speed to average users in a familiar design.

Is $TAP a Top Crypto to Buy Now? Fintech Ownership Layer

Digitap feels like a postcard from the future because it treats money like a single system. One surface, one balance, multiple rails, and a settlement that adapts to each individual transaction instead of forcing users to think about plumbing.

The native $TAP token functions as an ownership layer and lets token holders own the financial platform they transact on. With 50% of platform profits used to reward stakers and burn $TAP tokens, the token benefits as the platform scales.

This design is a key factor making $TAP an interesting altcoin to buy, and this new value-capture model is likely to become dominant as the crypto industry matures. The market clearly likes what it sees. Digitap has raised $2.5 million and sold 150 million $TAP tokens to more than 120,000 wallets while crypto prices have been whipsawing.

Right now, $TAP trades at $0.0371, but it will move to $0.0383 in less than 24 hours. Investors who purchase today secure a massive discount to the listing price of $0.14, and in a bear market, clear product utility and visible traction are winning traits.

Utility Plays Like $TAP Beat BTC in a Bear Market

Payments do not stop when Bitcoin starts to puke. Freelancers still get paid, families still send money home, and global commerce keeps moving even when charts look ugly. That is why the Digitap crypto presale has increasingly become a safe harbour.

Investors lock in early-stage presale prices, can download the app today, and the utility-first approach continues to drive inflows despite broader market sentiment. The $TAP token has a clear value capture design, and tying the token to real usage makes it stand out as a leading altcoin to buy.

Right now, investors can take advantage of Digitap’s 12 Days of Christmas campaign with 2 offers dropping daily, and then a three-day finale of super high-value prizes on the 24th, 25th, and 26th. Users can win free Premium or Pro upgrades, token bonuses, and discounts, and even in a fearful market, Digitap’s momentum shows no sign of slowing.

(Photo by Paul Natkin/Getty Images) Getty Images Singer Lou Gramm has a vivid memory of recording the ballad “Waiting for a Girl Like You” at New York City’s Electric Lady Studio for his band Foreigner more than 40 years ago. Gramm was adding his vocals for the track in the control room on the other side of the glass when he noticed a beautiful woman walking through the door. “She sits on the sofa in front of the board,” he says. “She looked at me while I was singing. And every now and then, she had a little smile on her face. I’m not sure what that was, but it was driving me crazy. “And at the end of the song, when I’m singing the ad-libs and stuff like that, she gets up,” he continues. “She gives me a little smile and walks out of the room. And when the song ended, I would look up every now and then to see where Mick [Jones] and Mutt [Lange] were, and they were pushing buttons and turning knobs. They were not aware that she was even in the room. So when the song ended, I said, ‘Guys, who was that woman who walked in? She was beautiful.’ And they looked at each other, and they went, ‘What are you talking about? We didn’t see anything.’ But you know what? I think they put her up to it. Doesn’t that sound more like them?” “Waiting for a Girl Like You” became a massive hit in 1981 for Foreigner off their album 4, which peaked at number one on the Billboard chart for 10 weeks and…

New York Regulators Push Banks to Adopt Blockchain Analytics

New York Regulators Push Banks to Adopt Blockchain Analytics

New York’s top financial regulator urged banks to adopt blockchain analytics, signaling tighter oversight of crypto-linked risks. The move reflects regulators’ concern that traditional institutions face rising exposure to digital assets. While crypto-native firms already rely on monitoring tools, the Department of Financial Services now expects banks to use them to detect illicit activity. NYDFS Outlines Compliance Expectations The notice, issued on Wednesday by Superintendent Adrienne Harris, applies to all state-chartered banks and foreign branches. In its industry letter, the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) emphasized that blockchain analytics should be integrated into compliance programs according to each bank’s size, operations, and risk appetite. The regulator cautioned that crypto markets evolve quickly, requiring institutions to update frameworks regularly. “Emerging technologies introduce evolving threats that require enhanced monitoring tools,” the notice stated. It stressed the need for banks to prevent money laundering, sanctions violations, and other illicit finance linked to virtual currency transactions. To that end, the Department listed specific areas where blockchain analytics can be applied: Screening customer wallets with crypto exposure to assess risks. Verifying the origin of funds from virtual asset service providers (VASPs). Monitoring the ecosystem holistically to detect money laundering or sanctions exposure. Identifying and assessing counterparties, such as third-party VASPs. Evaluating expected versus actual transaction activity, including dollar thresholds. Weighing risks tied to new digital asset products before rollout. These examples highlight how institutions can tailor monitoring tools to strengthen their risk management frameworks. The guidance expands on NYDFS’s Virtual Currency-Related Activities (VCRA) framework, which has governed crypto oversight in the state since 2022. Regulators Signal Broader Impact Market observers say the notice is less about new rules and more about clarifying expectations. By formalizing the role of blockchain analytics in traditional finance, New York is reinforcing the idea that banks cannot treat crypto exposure as a niche concern. Analysts also believe the approach could ripple beyond New York. Federal agencies and regulators in other states may view the guidance as a blueprint for aligning banking oversight with the realities of digital asset adoption. For institutions, failure to adopt blockchain intelligence tools may invite regulatory scrutiny and undermine their ability to safeguard customer trust. With crypto now firmly embedded in global finance, New York’s stance suggests that blockchain analytics are no longer optional for banks — they are essential to protecting the financial system’s integrity.
