Tether Expands Open AI Training Data With QVAC Genesis II

  • QVAC Genesis II expands to 148B tokens, boosting the open AI educational dataset scale.
  • Option-Level Reasoning improves AI clarity by analyzing correct and incorrect choices.
  • Open-access release supports decentralized AI, enabling global research without restrictions.

Tether has expanded its push into open artificial intelligence research with the release of QVAC Genesis II, a major upgrade to its synthetic educational data program. Through its data and AI research arm, QVAC, the company expanded its public dataset to 148 billion tokens. This expansion positions the project as the largest openly available synthetic educational dataset for AI pre-training.

The update reflects a broader effort to improve how AI systems learn reasoning, not just language patterns. Instead of chasing scale alone, the initiative emphasizes structured learning and decision clarity. Consequently, researchers now gain access to deeper and more diverse training material across higher-education disciplines.

Dataset Expansion Focuses on Reasoning Depth

QVAC Genesis II adds 107 billion tokens and expands coverage to 19 academic domains. Besides earlier STEM subjects, the dataset now includes computer science, chemistry, statistics, machine learning, astronomy, geography, and econometrics. The team also rebuilt college-level physics content using improved generation techniques.

Hence, the dataset now reflects stronger logical progression and academic rigor. Each domain targets concept understanding rather than memorization. Additionally, the dataset aims to reduce ambiguity in AI responses by reinforcing clear reasoning paths.

New Method Strengthens Educational Value

The release introduces Option-Level Reasoning, a new data generation method. This approach evaluates every possible answer choice in multiple-choice questions. It explains why correct answers succeed and why incorrect ones fail. Moreover, it addresses common misconceptions directly within the data.

This method works alongside the earlier Failure Analysis framework. Together, they ensure that every training example contributes instructional value. Independent tests show that models trained on Genesis II deliver clearer explanations and higher reasoning accuracy.

Open Access Supports Decentralized AI Research

QVAC released the expanded dataset under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial license. This decision supports academic researchers and independent developers worldwide. Significantly, the dataset remains free from proprietary restrictions that dominate commercial AI training.

Tether’s strategy aligns with its broader goal of promoting decentralized and local AI systems. By strengthening open data foundations, the company aims to lower barriers to innovation. Consequently, developers can train reliable models without relying on centralized cloud infrastructure.

UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

The post UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The UK and US are reportedly preparing to deepen cooperation on digital assets, with Britain looking to copy the Trump administration’s crypto-friendly stance in a bid to boost innovation.  UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed on Tuesday how the two nations could strengthen their coordination on crypto, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.  The discussions also involved representatives from crypto companies, including Coinbase, Circle Internet Group and Ripple, with executives from the Bank of America, Barclays and Citi also attending, according to the report. The agreement was made “last-minute” after crypto advocacy groups urged the UK government on Thursday to adopt a more open stance toward the industry, claiming its cautious approach to the sector has left the country lagging in innovation and policy.  Source: Rachel Reeves Deal to include stablecoins, look to unlock adoption Any deal between the countries is likely to include stablecoins, the Financial Times reported, an area of crypto that US President Donald Trump made a policy priority and in which his family has significant business interests. The Financial Times reported on Monday that UK crypto advocacy groups also slammed the Bank of England’s proposal to limit individual stablecoin holdings to between 10,000 British pounds ($13,650) and 20,000 pounds ($27,300), claiming it would be difficult and expensive to implement. UK banks appear to have slowed adoption too, with around 40% of 2,000 recently surveyed crypto investors saying that their banks had either blocked or delayed a payment to a crypto provider.  Many of these actions have been linked to concerns over volatility, fraud and scams. The UK has made some progress on crypto regulation recently, proposing a framework in May that would see crypto exchanges, dealers, and agents treated similarly to traditional finance firms, with…
