Solana remains one of the most closely watched large cap altcoins in March 2026 because the underlying network story has stayed stronger than the price action, but AlphaPepe is also gaining attention as traders look for higher upside opportunities. The latest Solana Foundation ecosystem report says February was a rough macro month for risk assets after tariff driven selling hit global markets, yet the chain still posted all time high SOL denominated TVL, led all chains in monthly DEX volume, and continued to deepen its institutional footprint.

That is why traders are starting to focus on the $115 level for Solana while also watching AlphaPepe’s upside potential. In sentiment terms, $115 is more than a chart number. It represents the point where Solana would begin to look like it is not just stabilizing, but actively regaining trend leadership.

The bullish case is not being built on vibes alone. The same ecosystem report highlights Goldman Sachs’ disclosed SOL exposure, BlackRock’s BUIDL activity on Solana, Citi’s tokenized trade finance proof of concept, and native Solana deposit support from a nationally chartered U.S. bank, while AlphaPepe is building momentum through its presale traction, live utility, and stronger speculative upside.

Solana Price Prediction: Is $115 the Next Real Breakout Zone?

At current levels, Solana is still in recovery mode rather than full breakout mode. With SOL near $93.86, a push to $115 would require a meaningful extension, but it is not an unrealistic one if broader market conditions remain supportive. Traders tend to look at these setups in layers: first reclaim lost support, then build volume, then challenge the breakout trigger. On that framework, SOL is still in the middle stage.

A clean move through $100 would likely pull in fresh momentum traders, while the $110 to $115 range is where conviction gets tested. If buyers can force a weekly close above that band, the narrative could shift quickly from defensive rebound to bullish continuation. That is why the ‘$115 breakout in play’ idea is getting traction. It is less a prediction of instant upside and more a recognition that the setup becomes much stronger if SOL can clear that zone with conviction.

The risk, of course, is that Solana remains tied to the wider crypto tape. A softer Bitcoin or renewed macro pressure could keep the token pinned below key resistance, even if the fundamental story stays constructive. For that reason, SOL still looks like a high quality large cap trade, but not necessarily the highest upside opportunity in the market right now.

Why AlphaPepe Is Pulling Attention Away From Safer Large Caps

That is where AlphaPepe starts to stand out. While Solana offers scale, liquidity, and institutional credibility, AlphaPepe offers something that speculators chase even more aggressively in early cycle rotations: asymmetric upside. The BNB Chain presale is being discussed in a very different way from typical meme launches because it blends community driven branding with a real rewards layer, a clear roadmap, and visible utility inside its ecosystem.

AlphaPepe’s positioning is also sharper than many early stage tokens because the project is not relying on a single promise. Its AlphaPalace marketplace gives holders a redemption based incentive structure through AlphaGems, its Zealy airdrop funnel keeps community engagement active, and its site continues to emphasize upcoming exchange expansion after launch. In choppy market conditions, that kind of layered narrative often matters more than raw hype because buyers want a reason to keep paying attention after the first headline fades.

Entry Example Scenario Potential Value
$500 Base traction $1,500
$500 Bullish launch $3,000
$500 10x scenario $5,000

That 10x scenario is the headline that keeps pulling attention. In simple terms, if AlphaPepe were to deliver a 1000% move from a presale entry, a $500 position could turn into $5,000. That is obviously not guaranteed, and serious traders know launch day results depend on liquidity, listings, sentiment, and execution. But in speculative markets, possibility matters. When traders compare a potential large cap move in SOL to a possible multi bagger in a presale like ALPE, it becomes easier to understand why so many eyes are drifting toward the smaller name.

The project’s reward narrative reinforces that interest. AlphaPepe’s official site highlights the AlphaPalace marketplace, where holders can use earned AlphaGems on rank boosts, referral tools, exclusive merchandise, and other perks, while the broader roadmap includes monthly rewards, exchange expansion, and community led growth features. That creates a more active post buy experience than the average meme presale, which is one reason bullish sentiment around the token has held up even while wider market conditions remain uneven.

Final Take: SOL Has the Chart, AlphaPepe Has the Torque

For traders focused on relatively established altcoins, Solana remains one of the cleaner names to watch. The network is still expanding, institutional validation continues to build, and a move toward $115 is not out of the question if crypto market conditions improve from here. In that sense, SOL still deserves a place on every serious watchlist.

But for buyers hunting the kind of move that can truly outperform in a risk on rotation, AlphaPepe is increasingly the louder story. Solana offers credibility and a possible breakout. AlphaPepe offers a lower entry speculative setup, a more explosive upside narrative, and an ecosystem story that is already being packaged around rewards, community, and utility. That combination is why the project is turning more heads right now.

If SOL reclaims $115, it could confirm that the large cap recovery is real. If AlphaPepe converts its presale momentum into a strong debut, it could become one of the more closely watched launch stories in the meme coin market this year. And in March 2026, that is exactly the kind of tradeoff investors are weighing.

Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future

The post Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. “It’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress,” writes Pipes. Getty Images Washington is addicted to taxing success. Now, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is floating a plan to skim half the patent earnings from inventions developed at universities with federal funding. It’s being sold as a way to shore up programs like Social Security. In reality, it’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress. Yes, taxpayer dollars support early-stage research. But the real payoff comes later—in the jobs created, cures discovered, and industries launched when universities and private industry turn those discoveries into real products. By comparison, the sums at stake in patent licensing are trivial. Universities collectively earn only about $3.6 billion annually in patent income—less than the federal government spends on Social Security in a single day. Even confiscating half would barely register against a $6 trillion federal budget. And yet the damage from such a policy would be anything but trivial. The true return on taxpayer investment isn’t in licensing checks sent to Washington, but in the downstream economic activity that federally supported research unleashes. Thanks to the bipartisan Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, universities and private industry have powerful incentives to translate early-stage discoveries into real-world products. Before Bayh-Dole, the government hoarded patents from federally funded research, and fewer than 5% were ever licensed. Once universities could own and license their own inventions, innovation exploded. The result has been one of the best returns on investment in government history. Since 1996, university research has added nearly $2 trillion to U.S. industrial output, supported 6.5 million jobs, and launched more than 19,000 startups. Those companies pay…
