PANews reported on November 5th that George Zhou, Managing Director of Antalpha, stated at the Finternet 2025 Asia Digital Finance Summit, supported by the OSL Group, that Gold RWA is the most promising and recognized direction in the RWA field, and will inevitably become the best paradigm for the digital reconstruction of value storage and transfer.
Zhou stated that traditional methods of holding and trading gold have shortcomings. For example, physical gold cannot generate interest and is difficult to liquidate; ETFs have holding costs but are difficult to deliver; and paper gold cannot be exchanged for physical gold and its price fluctuates significantly. In contrast, Gold RWA uses blockchain as its underlying technology, combined with the digital division and verifiable transfer of physical gold, thereby enabling the upgrade of gold from offline to on-chain and from bills to digital certificates.
