PANews reported on October 31 that, according to The Block, the U.S. Treasury Department is preparing to issue a $1 coin featuring the image of President Trump, a development that has angered some lawmakers who claim the coin's reverse design is linked to the cryptocurrency Trump. On Thursday, at a nomination hearing before the Senate Banking Committee, Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen questioned Paul Hollis, the nominee for the next head of the Treasury's Mint, about the coin's design.
