Bitget's 24-hour withdrawal limit runs from 3M USDT at VIP 0 to 20M USDT at VIP 7, counted across all coins at their USDT value, and an account without Level 1 verification has not been able to withdraw at all since 20 July 2024.
Bitget says most withdrawals are processed within a few minutes but publishes no fixed processing time, and a security change locks withdrawals for 24 hours.
This guide sets out the limits, the four locks that stop withdrawals more often than the limit does, and a way to time a withdrawal yourself, verified against Bitget's Support Center on 9 September 2026.

Key Takeaways
  • Bitget's 24-hour withdrawal limit runs from 3M USDT at VIP 0 to 20M USDT at VIP 7 and follows VIP level, not verification level.
  • An account without Level 1 verification has not been able to withdraw at all, on-chain or internally, since 20 July 2024.
  • Four holds stop withdrawals when the limit is not the problem: 24 hours after a security change, 1 hour on a new device, T+12 to T+48 after some P2P purchases, and the wait while verification is pending.
  • Bitget publishes no maximum processing time, so the only comparable number is the one you time yourself across four timestamps.
  • Withdrawal fees are fixed per coin and network, from 0.0002 ETH on Ethereum down to 0.00003 ETH on Optimism, and internal transfers between Bitget users are free and instant.
  • Japan-resident accounts move to close-only mode on 1 November 2026, but crypto withdrawals stay open after the year-end position closure.

The limit is rarely what stops a Bitget withdrawal.
At 3M USDT a day from the first VIP level, most accounts could empty themselves in a single request, and an unverified account has not been able to withdraw at all since July 2024.
What actually stops withdrawals is a password changed the night before, a login from a new phone, a P2P purchase made that morning, or a network chosen to match the wrong address.
Every rule below comes from Bitget's Support Center, its Fee Center or its Terms of Use, each with a date, because the figures that circulate for Bitget withdrawals are several years and one policy change out of date.

Bitget Withdrawal Limits by VIP Level

Bitget converts your withdrawals to USDT and checks them against a 24-hour limit set by your VIP level, which its fee page describes as a limit you cannot exceed within a single day.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against Bitget's Support Center page "Common Questions About Individual Verification" (updated 26 April 2024) and the spot and futures tabs of Bitget's Fee Center, which carry the same limit column. The balance route is met by either the daily asset balance or the 30-day average balance.
Two official statements sit awkwardly next to each other and both belong on the record.
Bitget's notice dated 4 June 2024 says that from 20 July 2024 users without Level 1 verification cannot withdraw, including on-chain withdrawals and internal transfers.
Bitget's fee page, retrieved 9 September 2026, still carries a footnote that VIP users who have not completed identity verification are limited to 20,000 USDT in 24-hour withdrawals.
The later, more specific notice is the operative rule, so treat the footnote as a leftover rather than an allowance, and treat verification as the first limit you have to clear.

How to Raise Your Bitget Withdrawal Limit Without Trading

There is no separate withdrawal-limit setting to adjust; the limit moves only when your VIP level moves.
Any one of four measures qualifies you, and Bitget assigns the highest level you meet on any of them: 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume, daily or 30-day average balance, or 30-day average BGB holdings.
The balance route is the one most large withdrawers can use without trading: a daily balance of 30,000 USDT reaches VIP 1 and a 4M USDT limit, and 250,000 USDT reaches VIP 3 and 8M USDT.
Levels refresh at 09:00 UTC+8 each day, sub-accounts inherit the main account's level, and the VIP system applies to non-institutional users only, so a corporate account's limit is set separately.

4 Things That Lock Bitget Withdrawals When the Limit Is Fine

None of these is the VIP limit, and together they explain most "why can't I withdraw" cases in Bitget's own troubleshooting page.
Lock
What triggers it
How long
What it blocks
24-hour security lock
Password or fund password reset, 2FA reset or change, email or phone change, or unusual activity such as suspicious logins
24 hours
Withdrawals
New-device lock
Logging in from a device you have not used before
1 hour on that device
Payments and withdrawals from the new device only; devices you have used before are unaffected
P2P T+X hold
Buying crypto or depositing through Bitget P2P in certain fiat currencies and regions
T+12, T+24 or T+48 hours, by currency and region
Withdrawals to external wallets, internal transfers and P2P sells; buying more and trading continue
Pending verification hold
Submitting a Level 1 application that has not yet been approved
Typically 24 hours, per the troubleshooting page
All withdrawals until approval
Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against Bitget's Support Center pages "Why Is My Withdrawal Restricted or Suspended?" (updated 29 March 2024) and "What is the T+X Withdrawal Limit?" (updated 30 December 2024).
The P2P hold is the one that surprises people, because it applies to the coins you just bought, not to your whole balance, and Bitget states that it cannot be lifted early and carries no fee.
Two further holds are not time-based: crypto sitting in open orders, P2P trades, copy trades or Earn products cannot be withdrawn until it is released, and trading bonuses are never withdrawable.
Bitget's Terms of Use also allow it to suspend withdrawals while it resolves an incident on the platform, with withdrawals resuming once the incident is resolved.

How Long Bitget Withdrawals Take

Bitget's answer is "most withdrawals are processed within a few minutes", with delays possible for network congestion or additional security checks, and no published maximum.
Its withdrawal-status page names four states: Processing while verification or blockchain confirmation is under way, Successful once the transaction is on the chain, Failed for problems such as a wrong address or insufficient funds, and Cancel.
That last state exists because you can cancel a withdrawal within the first minute after submitting it, after which the funds stay in your Bitget account.
A second support page uses Pending and Completed for the same two main stages and adds that larger transactions can be held for manual review.
Once the status is Successful, Bitget's side is done: the TxID lets you follow confirmations on a block explorer, and if the funds are confirmed on-chain but not showing, the receiving platform is the one to contact, with the TxID.
Every withdrawal needs Google Authenticator set up and a registered email or phone, and the security verification at confirmation can include an email code, a Google Authenticator code and an SMS code.

How We Time a Withdrawal

Because Bitget publishes no processing time, we measure it the same way on every platform we cover.
Record four timestamps: T0 when you submit, T1 when the TxID appears and the status turns Successful, T2 when the explorer shows the confirmation count the destination requires, and T3 when the balance shows on the receiving platform.
T1 minus T0 is the only part Bitget controls; T3 minus T1 belongs to the network and the receiving platform's confirmation policy.
Fix the variables before you start: one coin, one network, one amount above the minimum, sent from a device you have used before, with no security change in the previous 24 hours and no P2P purchase inside its T+X window.
Run it on two networks for the same coin and you can see how much of the wait belongs to the chain rather than to the exchange.

Bitget Withdrawal Failed? 6 Causes and Their Fixes

An "Enter a Valid Address" message means the address does not match the network you selected, so check whether the destination gave you an ERC-20, BEP-20 or other address before changing anything else.
A network mismatch that does pass validation is the expensive one: Bitget states that withdrawals are irreversible and that funds sent on a network the receiving wallet does not support may be lost.
Coins such as XRP and EOS need a tag or memo, and a missing or wrong one has to be chased with the receiving platform using the TxID.
Each coin has a minimum withdrawal amount shown on the withdrawal page, for example 0.0005 BTC on the Bitcoin network and 0.00402242 ETH on Ethereum on 9 September 2026, and a request below it is rejected.
A withdrawal that looks smaller than expected is usually the fee, a locked portion of the balance or a bonus that was never withdrawable.
Routes get suspended: on the day we checked, Bitget's BTC Lightning route was marked Suspended and its ETH Robinhood route was marked Withdrawal suspended, so a network that worked last month may not be offered today.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against the Deposit/Withdraw tab of Bitget's Fee Center and Bitget's internal transfer guide.
The pattern is the one every fee table shows: the base chain costs several times the layer-2 or BEP20 route for the same coin, so the network choice moves the bill more than anything else you control.
For scale, MEXC's schedule on 19 August 2026 listed 0.00002 BTC on the Bitcoin network and 0.000024 ETH on Ethereum, and our guide to the crypto exchanges with the lowest withdrawal fees works through the USDT routes, where the spread between chains is widest.
Whatever the destination, send a small test amount first: a test costs one extra withdrawal fee, which is cheap on a layer-2 or BEP20 route, and it is the only way to confirm that the network, the address and any memo are right before the real transfer.

If You Are a Bitget Japan User

From 17 September 2026 Bitget will provisionally classify accounts as Japan-resident, and a user who believes the classification is wrong can contest it by completing Level 2 verification before 1 November 2026 at 11:00 JST.
From that time, accounts classified as Japan-resident enter close-only mode: no new or added positions, and no spot, futures, P2P, Convert, Earn, copy trading, bots or card services.
The practical order is to close positions on your own terms before 1 November rather than let the year-end close do it at whatever price the market offers, then withdraw with the same four-timestamp discipline, leaving margin for the 24-hour and T+X holds above.

Moving Assets Off Bitget: A Checklist

If you are consolidating elsewhere, the order of operations matters more than the destination.
Start on Bitget's side: confirm no security change in the last 24 hours, no P2P purchase inside its T+X window, and no open orders, copy trades or Earn positions holding the balance you want to move.
Generate the deposit address on the destination platform first, on the exact network you intend to use, and copy it rather than typing it.
Check that the destination supports that coin on that network and note its required confirmation count, then send a small test amount and wait for it to be credited before the main transfer.
Keep the TxID of every transfer, because it is the one piece of evidence both platforms will ask for if anything stalls.
The network-by-network detail is in our guide to how to transfer crypto from Bitget without losing it on the wrong network, and if the destination is MEXC, the official route is Wallets, then Deposit, then the coin and network, then the address that MEXC generates.

Bitget vs MEXC: Withdrawal Rules Compared

Before the comparison, one sentence on who can act on it: Bitget's Terms of Use list the United States, Canada and Japan among its prohibited countries, MEXC does not serve residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, and neither platform holds a MiCA authorisation.
If you live in one of those places, read this section as a reference rather than a recommendation.
MEXC's rules below come from its official KYC FAQ of 2 June 2026, its withdrawal guide and its withdrawal-troubleshooting announcement.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against Bitget's Support Center pages dated 29 March, 26 April and 22 June 2024 and its internal transfer guide, and MEXC's support pages "MEXC KYC FAQ" (updated 2 June 2026), "How to Withdraw on MEXC (Web)" and "Withdrawal Not Received".
The structural difference is the currency of the ceiling.
Bitget's limit is fixed in USDT terms, so a VIP 0 account can always move 3M USDT of value a day, while MEXC's 80 BTC and 200 BTC ceilings rise and fall with the Bitcoin price and step up with a second verification level rather than with trading volume.
Both platforms run free internal transfers by email, phone number or UID, both require an authenticator code at withdrawal, and both publish per-network fees on their fee pages as well as on the withdrawal screen.
On unverified use, MEXC's FAQ states that not completing verification may affect access to deposits, withdrawals and trading depending on your region, and it describes a withdrawal appeal route that leaves the account with withdrawal and position-closing permissions only.
If your withdrawals are large enough that a USDT-denominated ceiling or a BTC-denominated one changes your planning, compare the two before you decide where the balance lives.

The MEXC View

We work for MEXC, and this section is where we say what we think rather than what the tables say.
On the mechanics, the two platforms are closer than on fees: free internal transfers, authenticator-gated withdrawals, per-network fees on the screen, and a T+X style hold on P2P purchases in some countries on both sides.
Where MEXC is ahead for a mover is the fee on the popular routes, at 0.00002 BTC on the Bitcoin network against Bitget's 0.00003 and 0.000024 ETH on Ethereum against 0.0002, and a limit ladder that needs a document rather than volume.
Here is where Bitget is ahead.
Bitget's 3M USDT ceiling at VIP 0 is larger than most retail users will ever test and does not move with the Bitcoin price.
Bitget's one-minute cancel window, its four-state status page and its explicit list of locks and triggers are more specific than the withdrawal pages we compared for this piece, and its monthly Merkle-tree Proof of Reserves and its Protection Fund page are relevant to anyone deciding where a large balance sits.
Bitget also keeps withdrawals open through every stage of its Japan exit, including after positions are force-closed, which is the right way to leave a market.
MEXC's own limits belong here too: it is not available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the EEA, its apps are not in Japanese app stores, and it appears on Japan's Financial Services Agency list of unregistered operators, so we do not recommend that residents of Japan open an account.
Our full MEXC vs Bitget comparison covers fees, leverage and listings, our roundup of exchanges that publish proof of reserves covers the reserve question, and the rules we apply to every number are set out in how we verify exchange data.

Who Should Keep a Balance on Bitget, and Who Shouldn't

Keep it there if a USDT-denominated ceiling suits you, if you use the balance route to a higher VIP level, or if copy trading or Earn positions are the reason the funds are on Bitget in the first place.
Move it if you withdraw often on base chains, because the per-route fee gap adds up, or if you need two verified accounts under one identity, which Bitget does not allow.
Move it on a schedule if you are a Japan resident, because close-only mode on 1 November 2026 is the date that matters, not the year-end closure.
If you are weighing where to go, our guide to Bitget alternatives compared for 2026 puts six platforms side by side.

Where each platform is available

Bitget's Terms of Use, last updated 17 August 2026, name the United States and its territories, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Austria, France and Germany among its prohibited countries, alongside sanctioned jurisdictions.
The United Kingdom is not on that list, but UK readers who want local protections should confirm their access with Bitget and consider a platform on the FCA register.
For the European Economic Area, Bitget's own statement of 2 July 2026 says Bitget EU has applied to Austria's FMA under MiCAR and will provide services in the EU only once authorised, and on 9 September 2026 that page still described the authorisation as pending.
MEXC is not available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the EEA, it appears on ESMA's list of non-compliant entities, and it is offboarding Netherlands customers by 31 October 2026 with final offboarding on 16 November 2026.
EEA readers should check any provider against ESMA's statement on the end of the MiCA transitional periods, which points to the register of authorised providers.
In Japan, Bitget is exiting on the timeline above with withdrawals staying open, while MEXC's apps are not available in Japanese app stores and MEXC appears on the Financial Services Agency's list of unregistered operators, so we do not recommend that residents of Japan open an MEXC account.
Our page on where MEXC is and is not available lists the full set of restricted regions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Bitget's daily withdrawal limit?
3M USDT per 24 hours at VIP 0, rising through 4M, 6M, 8M, 10M, 12M and 15M to 20M USDT at VIP 7, converted across all coins.
The limit follows VIP level, not verification level.

Can I withdraw from Bitget without KYC?
No, since 20 July 2024 accounts without Level 1 verification cannot make on-chain withdrawals or internal transfers.
A fee-page footnote still mentions 20,000 USDT for unverified accounts, but the later notice is the operative rule.

How long does a Bitget withdrawal take?
Bitget says most withdrawals are processed within a few minutes but publishes no maximum, and larger transactions can be held for manual review.
Once the status is Successful, the rest depends on network confirmations and the receiving platform.

Why are my Bitget withdrawals restricted for 24 hours?
A password or fund password reset, a 2FA change, a change of email or phone, or detected unusual activity locks withdrawals for 24 hours.
Wait out the period; the lock cannot be lifted early.

What is the T+X withdrawal limit on Bitget?
A hold of T+12, T+24 or T+48 hours on crypto bought or deposited through Bitget P2P in certain fiat currencies and regions.
It blocks withdrawals, internal transfers and P2P sells while buying and trading continue, and carries no fee.

What is the minimum withdrawal on Bitget?
It varies by coin and network and is shown on the withdrawal page, for example 0.0005 BTC on the Bitcoin network and 0.00402242 ETH on Ethereum on 9 September 2026.
Requests below the minimum are rejected.

How do I increase my Bitget withdrawal limit?
Raise your VIP level through 30-day spot or futures volume, a daily or 30-day balance, or 30-day average BGB holdings; a 30,000 USDT balance reaches VIP 1 and 4M USDT a day.
There is no separate limit setting.

Why can't I withdraw from a new device on Bitget?
Payments and withdrawals are unavailable for 1 hour on a device after its first successful login, as a security measure.
Devices you have used before are unaffected, so withdraw from one of those.

Can Bitget Japan users still withdraw after 31 December 2026?
Yes, Bitget's Japan notice keeps crypto withdrawals available after remaining positions are force-closed on 31 December 2026 at 11:00 JST.
Close-only mode starts on 1 November 2026 at 11:00 JST, so close positions on your own terms before then.

Risk Disclosure

Withdrawal limits, holds, fees and supported networks change without notice, and a route that is available today can be suspended tomorrow, so confirm the live figures on the withdrawal screen before you send.
Crypto withdrawals are irreversible, and funds sent on the wrong network or without a required memo may be unrecoverable.
Nothing on this page is investment, legal or tax advice, and availability depends on where you live.
