Bybit's daily crypto withdrawal limit depends on verification and VIP level: 20K USDT a day and 100K USDT a month without verification, 1M USDT at Standard, 2M USDT at Advanced or Pro, and 8M to 60M USDT for VIP and Pro tiers, all reset at 00:00 UTC, while Bybit states instant withdrawals take up to 15 minutes to process.

Key Takeaways
  • Bybit's withdrawal limit is set by two dials at once, your verification level and your VIP level, and every figure is quoted in USDT-equivalent value across all coins.
  • Standard verification gives 1M USDT a day, Advanced or Pro gives 2M USDT, business accounts get 4M USDT, and VIP tiers run from 8M USDT at VIP 1 to 60M USDT at Pro 6 after the October 2025 increase.
  • VIP accounts keep the 1M or 2M default until the limit is raised manually under Manage Crypto Withdrawal Limits, a step Bybit documents and many guides skip.
  • Bybit states that instant withdrawals take up to 15 minutes to process, and the on-chain leg after the Sent status is set by the network and the receiving platform's confirmation count.
  • Nine security actions, from a password reset to removing a passkey, block every withdrawal route for 24 hours, including internal transfers, fiat withdrawals, Bybit Card spending and P2P.
  • During the February 2025 theft Bybit kept withdrawals open, reported 99.994% of more than 350,000 requests processed within ten hours, and restored a reserve ratio above 100% within 72 hours.

Why Withdrawal Limits Bite at the Worst Moment

Nobody checks a withdrawal limit while depositing.
The limit shows up later, on the day you need to move a large balance quickly, and the same day tends to be the one when you have just reset a password or changed a phone number.
Bybit's rules on both points are precise, but they are spread across four help center pages and one press release, and the third-party guides that summarise them still quote BTC-denominated limits that no longer appear on Bybit's help center.
This guide puts the current limits into one table, walks through every status a withdrawal passes through, lists the nine actions that lock withdrawals for a day, and gives you a repeatable way to time your own transfers.
Every figure was checked against Bybit's help center on 8 September 2026 and carries the date of the page it came from.

Data verified as of 8 September 2026 against Bybit's help center pages "FAQ, On-Chain Crypto Withdrawals" (updated 12 April 2026) and "FAQ, Individual KYC" (updated 20 August 2026), and Bybit's press release of 24 October 2025 on VIP limit increases. Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC, the monthly limit resets on the first of the month, and verified accounts have no monthly cap.
Three rules sit under the table.
All limits are measured in USDT-equivalent value, so a withdrawal of BTC, ETH and SOL on the same day is summed at market value against one ceiling.
The limit applies to on-chain withdrawals and to internal transfers out of your Funding or Unified Trading Account, rather than to transfers that leave Bybit alone.
The VIP figures took their current form on 24 October 2025 at 10:00 UTC, when Bybit raised VIP 1 to VIP 3 from 6M to 8M USDT and doubled Pro 6 to 60M USDT, according to its press release of that date.
The unverified column only applies to accounts opened before Bybit's May 2023 verification mandate, since a new account cannot deposit without Standard verification.

How to Increase Your Bybit Withdrawal Limit, and the Setting Everyone Forgets

There are two levers, and one of them is a setting rather than an upgrade.
The first lever is verification: moving from Standard to Advanced doubles the VIP 0 ceiling from 1M to 2M USDT, at the cost of one proof-of-address document dated within three months.
The second lever is VIP status, which Bybit grants on asset balance or 30-day volume and which lifts the ceiling to 8M USDT at VIP 1.
The setting is the part most people miss.
Bybit's help center states that VIP users' limits are set by default at 1M for Standard and 2M for Advanced in Account and Security settings, and that a higher ceiling only applies after the user raises the limit manually.
The path is Account, then Withdrawal Security, then Manage Crypto Withdrawal Limits, then Settings, or the Manage Limit link inside the withdrawal window.
You can set both a daily and a monthly limit anywhere below your maximum, which also makes the same page a security tool for capping your own exposure.
The feature requires Google Authenticator, is not available on sub-accounts or business-verified accounts, and does not affect a withdrawal that is already in progress.

How Long Bybit Withdrawals Take

Bybit's official statement is that an instant withdrawal may take up to 15 minutes to process, and longer during high network congestion.
That 15 minutes covers Bybit's side only, which is the time from your submission to the moment the transaction is broadcast and a TXID appears.
The rest of the wait belongs to the blockchain and to the receiving platform, which decides how many confirmations it wants before crediting you.
Bybit's withdrawal history shows seven statuses, and knowing which one you are looking at tells you whose clock is running.

Data verified as of 8 September 2026 against Bybit's help center page "FAQ, On-Chain Crypto Withdrawals" (updated 12 April 2026).
The Travel Rule branch is the one that surprises people, because it pauses the withdrawal until you confirm ownership of the destination wallet inside Withdrawal History.
A cancellation is only possible while the request is still under review, so once the status moves to In Progress the transfer is committed.
If the status reads Completed and the funds have not arrived, Bybit's instruction is to contact the receiving wallet or exchange with the TXID, which you can copy from Funding Account History under Withdraw.
A withdrawal to a smart-contract Ethereum address will not go through at all, because Bybit supports ETH withdrawals by direct transfer only, while bech32 Bitcoin addresses beginning with bc1 are supported.

How to Time a Bybit Withdrawal in Four Timestamps

Any arrival time you read online is a single observation on a single day, so here is the method rather than a number.
Withdraw a small test amount of one coin on one named chain and record four timestamps in UTC.
T0 is the time on the confirmation screen when you submit.
T1 is the time the status changes to Sent and the TXID appears, which marks the end of Bybit's processing.
T2 is the time a block explorer shows the number of confirmations the receiving platform requires.
T3 is the time the balance shows in the destination wallet or exchange.
T1 minus T0 is Bybit's time, and it is the figure to hold against the stated 15 minutes.
T3 minus T1 is network and destination time, and it will differ by chain more than by exchange.
Run the test outside the minute after 00:00 UTC, when daily limits reset, and never within 24 hours of a security change, so the lock rules below do not contaminate the result.
Repeat on a second day before you rely on the number, because congestion changes the network leg without changing Bybit's leg.

Nine Actions That Lock Withdrawals for 24 Hours

Bybit applies a 24-hour withdrawal restriction after any of the following actions, and it lists them in full.
  • Changing or resetting your account password.
  • Changing your registered mobile number.
  • Changing or disabling your email address.
  • Activating or disabling the New Address Withdrawal Lock function.
  • Disabling or resetting Google Authenticator.
  • Changing or disabling your fund password.
  • Transferring your KYC identity to another account.
  • Self-reactivating your account.
  • Removing your passkeys.
The restriction is wider than most people expect, because Bybit counts on-chain withdrawals, internal transfers, fiat withdrawals, Bybit Card transactions and P2P buy and sell orders as withdrawals for this purpose.
A trader who resets a password on Monday morning has therefore also frozen their card and their P2P sales until Tuesday morning.
The practical rule is to make security changes on a day when you do not need to move funds, and to make them all at once so the 24 hours run concurrently.

Common Withdrawal Failures and Fixes

Bybit's help center lists nine reasons a withdrawal request will not submit, and most have a fix you can apply in the same session.
A fresh deposit sits in a short freeze until it reaches the number of block confirmations Bybit requires for that chain, during which it can be traded but not withdrawn, and the outstanding count is shown under Funding History.
Assets bought through Buy Crypto can be locked for withdrawal if the account is flagged for risk, with the unlock date shown under the Buy Crypto history.
An address that does not match the selected chain type is rejected at submission, which is the safeguard that stops most wrong-network losses before they happen.
Networks such as XRP and EOS need a destination tag or memo, and Bybit will require one where it detects the address needs it, but it also allows withdrawals without a tag and states that missing coins in that case are the sender's responsibility.
A request above your daily ceiling is rejected until 00:00 UTC or until you raise the limit or your verification level.
A request above your available balance usually means funds are tied up in open orders, which you can cancel and transfer to the Funding Account, or that you are trying to withdraw a bonus, which cannot be withdrawn.
Every coin and chain has a minimum withdrawal amount, shown in the withdrawal window once you pick the chain.
A suspension for wallet maintenance or a network upgrade can be worked around by choosing another chain for the same coin, or by setting an alert on the deposit and withdrawal status page for when service resumes.
If a risk warning appears when you submit, Bybit is flagging the destination address, and proceeding can mean rejection or a request for additional verification documents by email.

Bybit Withdrawal Fees

Bybit charges a fixed fee per coin and chain on every on-chain withdrawal, and the fee is the same whether you move 50 USDT or 50,000 USDT.
By default the fee is deducted from the amount you enter, and a Set Up option in the withdrawal window switches to a mode where the amount you enter is the amount that arrives.
Bybit's own FAQ explains why its fees can look higher than other platforms: it sets a fixed fee and dynamically raises the miner fee on batch transfers to secure faster confirmation on chain.
Users cannot set their own fee, and Bybit says it is considering that option for the future.
Internal transfers to another Bybit account carry no fee at all, which makes them the cheapest route when the recipient is also on Bybit, provided the recipient has completed verification.
For how those fixed fees compare with other platforms on the same USDT routes, see our test of crypto exchanges with the lowest withdrawal fees.

Withdrawal Security Settings Worth Turning On

Four settings under Account, Security and Scenario-based protection change what a stolen login can do with your balance.
The Withdrawal Address Whitelist restricts withdrawals to saved, verified addresses.
The Daily Whitelist Withdrawal Limit adds extra security verification to any withdrawal above a threshold you choose, even to whitelisted addresses.
The New Address Withdrawal Lock places a 24-hour hold on any newly saved address, and switching the lock itself on or off triggers the same 24-hour restriction.
The custom daily and monthly limits described above cap what can leave the account in a day, whatever your verification level allows.
Turning Withdrawal Protection off restricts withdrawals temporarily, so treat every one of these switches as a change to plan a day ahead.

Did Bybit Halt Withdrawals in the February 2025 Hack? No, and Here Is the Record

No, and the record is worth stating plainly because it is the question behind many searches for Bybit withdrawal times.
Bybit's own incident timeline states that 99.994% of more than 350,000 withdrawal requests were processed within ten hours, that all withdrawals were processed by 02:51 UTC on 22 February, and that deposits and withdrawals were back to normal levels by 08:55 UTC on 23 February.
CNBC reported that Bybit replenished its reserves in less than 72 hours through emergency loans and large deposits, that withdrawals remained open throughout, and that a Hacken proof-of-reserves audit confirmed collateralisation above 100% for its major assets.
The stolen assets themselves were not recovered by those dates, and Bybit launched a bounty programme to pursue them.
For the full record of exchange incidents and how many paid users back, our exchange hack database lists this event alongside 80 others, and our review of exchanges that publish proof of reserves explains what a reserve ratio above 100% does and does not prove.

Data verified as of 8 September 2026 against Bybit's help center pages "FAQ, On-Chain Crypto Withdrawals" (updated 12 April 2026) and "Bybit's Fees That You Need to Know" (updated 8 April 2026), and MEXC's support pages "MEXC KYC FAQ" (updated 2 June 2026), "How to Withdraw on MEXC (Web)" and "What Are T+1 and T+2 Withdrawal Limits on MEXC P2P?" (updated 11 March 2026).
The structural difference is the currency of the ceiling.
Bybit's limits are fixed in USDT terms, so a Standard account can always move 1M USDT of value a day, while MEXC's 80 BTC and 200 BTC ceilings rise and fall with the Bitcoin price.
MEXC's Primary level also carries P2P access and unlimited crypto deposits, and its internal transfers work by email, phone number or UID, so a recipient's address is never typed.
MEXC applies a T+1 or T+2 hold to crypto bought through P2P for users from specific countries, a rule Bybit's withdrawal pages do not describe, so a P2P buyer should check that page before planning a same-day withdrawal.
On unverified accounts, MEXC's FAQ states that deposits, withdrawals and trading may be restricted depending on region and does not publish a no-KYC allowance, so neither platform should be relied on for withdrawals without verification.
If your withdrawals are large enough that a USDT-denominated ceiling or a BTC-denominated one changes your planning, compare the two ladders before you decide where the balance lives.

Moving Assets Off Bybit: A Checklist

If you are consolidating elsewhere, the order of operations matters more than the destination.
Start with Bybit's side: confirm no security change in the last 24 hours, check your remaining daily limit, and cancel open orders so the balance is available in the Funding Account.
Generate the deposit address on the destination platform first, on the exact network you intend to use, and copy it rather than typing it.
On MEXC the official steps are to open Wallets, choose Deposit, select the coin and network, generate the address if none exists, and confirm that the token contract address matches the one MEXC supports, because a mismatched network or contract means lost funds.
Send a small test amount on that network and wait for it to credit, which on MEXC happens once the required block confirmations are reached.
Only then move the balance, in one or several withdrawals sized under your Bybit daily ceiling, and record the TXID of each.
Bybit users in Japan should note that the platform's force-close of positions on 22 July 2026 was not a withdrawal deadline, and withdrawals remain available for moving assets out.
MEXC's official deposit guide carries the current screenshots for each step.

The MEXC View

We work for MEXC, so read this section for what it is.
On limits, MEXC's ladder is shorter to climb: Primary verification already carries an 80 BTC daily ceiling, and Advanced takes it to 200 BTC, with no VIP tier required to move a large balance.
Here is where Bybit is ahead.
Bybit publishes a complete limit matrix, a reset time, a status table, a 24-hour lock list and a fee policy in its own words, which is a more complete rulebook than MEXC's withdrawal pages offer today.
Bybit's Travel Rule verification and address-risk screening add friction, but they are documented safeguards, and its February 2025 record of keeping withdrawals open under record demand is a fact in its favour.
Bybit's USDT-denominated limits are easier to plan around than a BTC-denominated ceiling in a volatile month.
If you value a fixed-dollar ceiling and the most documented withdrawal process, Bybit's rules are the better mapped ones.
If you want a high ceiling from the first verification step, internal transfers by UID, and lower fees on the common USDT routes, MEXC is worth a test withdrawal, and our full MEXC vs Bybit comparison covers what sits on either side of the withdrawal screen.

Who Should Keep Withdrawing From Bybit, and Who Should Move

A trader whose daily withdrawals sit comfortably under 1M USDT has no limit problem on Bybit and should spend the effort on the security settings above instead.
A high-volume account should verify to Advanced, qualify for VIP, and then raise the default limit manually, because two of those three steps are useless without the third.
A P2P seller or card user should schedule every security change for a quiet day, since the 24-hour lock reaches those products too.
A trader who needs to move a very large balance in one day and cannot reach a VIP tier will find the 2M USDT individual ceiling binding, and should plan a multi-day exit or consider a platform whose ceiling is set differently.
For a wider view of where such a trader can move, our ranking of Bybit alternatives ranked on fees, contracts and reserves tests six platforms.

Where Each Platform Is Available

Bybit's Service Agreement excludes the United States, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore among its listed jurisdictions.
United Kingdom users are served through a UK-specific platform offering spot and peer-to-peer trading, and European Economic Area users through Bybit EU.
Bybit closed its Japan service in 2026, with positions force-closed on 22 July 2026 and withdrawals still available afterwards.
MEXC does not serve the United States, the United Kingdom or Canada, and it stopped serving the European Economic Area after the MiCA transition deadline of 1 July 2026.
MEXC's apps are not available in Japan's app stores, and Japan's Financial Services Agency lists MEXC as an unregistered operator.
If you are in any of those places, treat this article as a reference for moving funds out and choose a platform licensed where you live.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Bybit withdrawal limit per day?
At VIP 0 it is 1M USDT with Standard verification, 2M USDT with Advanced or Pro, and 4M USDT for business accounts.
VIP tiers raise it to between 8M and 60M USDT, once the default is adjusted manually.

What is the Bybit withdrawal limit without KYC?
Legacy unverified accounts can withdraw up to 20K USDT a day and 100K USDT a month.
New accounts cannot deposit or trade without Standard verification, so the unverified limit no longer applies to them.

How long does a Bybit withdrawal take?
Bybit states that instant withdrawals take up to 15 minutes to process on its side, longer during congestion.
The on-chain leg after the Sent status depends on the network and the receiving platform's confirmation count.

Why is my Bybit withdrawal restricted for 24 hours?
You changed a security setting such as a password, phone number, email, Google Authenticator, fund password, passkey or KYC transfer within the last 24 hours.
The restriction also covers internal transfers, fiat withdrawals, Bybit Card and P2P.

What is the minimum withdrawal amount on Bybit?
It differs by coin and chain and is shown in the withdrawal window once you select the chain.
The same window shows the fixed withdrawal fee for that route.

How do I increase my Bybit withdrawal limit?
Complete Advanced verification for 2M USDT a day or qualify for a VIP tier, then raise the default under Account, Withdrawal Security and Manage Crypto Withdrawal Limits.
The setting requires Google Authenticator.

What does Pending Verification mean on a Bybit withdrawal?
The withdrawal requires Travel Rule verification of your ownership of the destination wallet address.
Complete the check inside Withdrawal History and the request continues.

Did Bybit stop withdrawals after the February 2025 hack?
No, Bybit kept withdrawals open and reported 99.994% of more than 350,000 requests processed within ten hours.
CNBC reported reserves were replenished in under 72 hours with a Hacken audit above 100%.

Does Bybit charge a fee for internal transfers?
No, internal transfers between Bybit accounts are free.
The recipient must have completed verification, and the transfer still counts against your daily withdrawal limit.

Risk and Compliance Notice

Withdrawal limits, fees, statuses and security rules change without notice, and each Bybit help center page carries its own update date for that reason.
A withdrawal to the wrong network, a missing tag, or an unverified contract address can lose funds permanently, and neither platform guarantees recovery.
MEXC is not licensed under MiCA and does not serve residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or the European Economic Area, and it appears on regulator notices in Japan, the Netherlands and Dubai.
Our methodology for verifying exchange data, including which sources we accept and how we date them, is published in our guide to how we verify exchange data.
Nothing here is financial advice, and the withdrawal window inside your own account is the final word on the limit, minimum and fee that apply to you.
