Gate.io withdrawal limits are set by two inputs, your VIP level and your KYC status, and Gate publishes each one on a separate page: 3,000,000 USD per 24 hours at VIP 0 on the fee page, and 100,000 USDT before verification on the Gate EU help page.

Key takeaways
  • Gate says your daily withdrawal limit depends on VIP level and KYC status.
  • The fee page shows 3,000,000 USD per 24 hours at VIP 0.
  • The Gate EU page shows 100,000 USDT before verification, dated 30 January 2023.
  • No single page shows the two axes together, so read your own withdrawal page.
  • The limit is net over 24 hours and shared across three withdrawal channels.
  • Gate publishes no processing-time figure, while MEXC states 1 to 60 minutes to TxID.

What is Gate.io's withdrawal limit?

There is no single number, because Gate's own beginner FAQ states that your daily withdrawal limit depends on your VIP level and your KYC status, and the two published tables each show only one of those inputs.

Read those two rows together and the shape of the problem is clear.
A verified account still sits somewhere on the VIP ladder, and no published table shows the two axes together.
So the limit that matters is the one your account shows you.
Gate states that you can check your 24-hour limit on the withdrawal page by selecting the cryptocurrency and the network you intend to use.

Why does every site quote 100,000 USDT?

Because that figure is the entry row of the KYC table on Gate EU's help page, it applies to accounts that have not completed verification, and it sits on a page dated 30 January 2023, which most guides repeat without either the scope or the date attached.
The gap between the two published entry figures is the part worth noticing.
A brand-new account at VIP 0 is shown 3,000,000 USD on the fee page, which is roughly thirty times the 100,000 USDT figure that most third-party guides quote, and the two pages even use different units for this question.
Neither figure is wrong on its own terms.
One describes an unverified account, the other describes the bottom of the VIP ladder, and a real account has a position on both axes at once.
This is also why a limit figure published without a source page and a date cannot be checked, which is the standard we hold ourselves to in how we verify platform rules.

How is the 24-hour window actually counted?

Gate counts the limit on a 24-hour net basis rather than as a running total of every transfer, shares one allowance across on-chain withdrawals, push transfers and GateCode, and allows deposits made within the same window to raise the available limit when they are mainstream coins.
Two mechanics in that list catch people out.
On a net basis, a deposit of mainstream coins inside the same window offsets a withdrawal of the same size, so the allowance is not a simple running total.
The shared allowance means a GateCode transfer and an on-chain withdrawal draw down the same pool, so splitting a transfer across channels does not create extra room.
The same Gate EU page states a fixed daily reset point, with no time zone given, and that EEA users can request a higher limit from support by email.
One more restriction applies regardless of your tier.
Gate's beginner FAQ states that crypto purchased through fiat trading cannot be withdrawn for 24 hours.

How Long Does a Gate.io Withdrawal Take? Gate Publishes No Figure

Gate's withdrawal guides do not publish a processing-time figure, and its withdrawal guide instead names the three factors that determine it: network congestion, security reviews and blockchain confirmation times.
That answer is honest, and it is also less useful than it looks.
Every withdrawal runs on two clocks, and Gate's own status labels separate them cleanly.
Processing is the platform clock, meaning the application is being sent by Gate.
Done and Blockchain Pending is the handover point, meaning the transaction has left Gate but has not been confirmed on chain.
Done and Blockchain Confirmed means the recipient should have the funds.
A withdrawal sitting at Done and Blockchain Pending is waiting on the chain, not on Gate.
A transaction sitting at Done and Blockchain Pending is not waiting on Gate at all.

How do you measure a withdrawal time properly?

Record five fields and the number becomes reproducible: the submission timestamp with its time zone, the moment the transaction ID first appears, the network you used, the confirmations the receiving platform requires, and the arrival timestamp.
The transaction ID timestamp is the one most guides omit, and it is the field that separates the two clocks.
For comparison, MEXC publishes a figure for that first stage, stating that a transaction ID is typically generated within 1 to 60 minutes of a withdrawal request, after which confirmation depends on the network.
A single anecdote with no network attached is not a measurement, which is why route choice matters as much as platform choice, as we found comparing USDT withdrawal route costs.

Why is my Gate withdrawal stuck?

Gate lists four common causes of withdrawal failure, an incorrect address, an incorrect address length, a missing Tag or Memo on tokens such as XRP and EOS, and network delays, and states that failed withdrawals are usually retried or refunded within 24 hours.

Data verified as of 10 September 2026 against Gate's official withdrawal FAQ and on-chain withdrawal guides.
The minimum withdrawal is worth checking before you start rather than after.
Gate publishes it per coin and per network on the fee page, where USDT on Ethereum ERC20 shows a minimum withdrawal of 1 USDT, Bitcoin shows 0.0005 BTC and Ethereum shows 0.002 ETH.
The same table carries a network status field, and some networks were flagged as disabled when we checked.

How do you avoid the scams that cluster around this question?

Neither Gate nor MEXC handles withdrawal problems by phone, so a page selling a support hotline number is the scam itself. Nobody can release a blocked withdrawal for an upfront fee, and no support agent needs your fund password, your authenticator codes or your recovery phrase.
This search result attracts impostors precisely because the people reading it are anxious about money already in transit.
Pages selling support phone numbers rank alongside genuine help centres, and limit tables with no source appear on lookalike domains.
Handle a withdrawal problem inside your logged-in account and the official help centre, and nowhere else.

What are MEXC's withdrawal limits and times?

MEXC publishes three verification tiers with stated 24-hour crypto withdrawal limits, Primary KYC at 80 BTC, Advanced KYC at 200 BTC and Institutional KYC at 400 BTC, and states that a transaction ID is typically generated within 1 to 60 minutes of a withdrawal request.

Data verified as of 10 September 2026 against Gate's official help centre and fee page, and MEXC's official KYC FAQ, page dated 2 June 2026, plus MEXC's official withdrawal announcements.
The difference is disclosure rather than generosity.
Both platforms have limits, both warn that a wrong network can be unrecoverable, and both stop you cancelling once the transaction reaches the chain.
Only one of them publishes a number against the question that has a clock attached to it.
Work that through on a transfer you might actually make.
If you are moving a position and need to know whether it clears in one window or three, you need two figures in advance: your own 24-hour limit, and the platform-side processing time.
On Gate you can read the first inside your account and the second is published only as a list of factors.
On MEXC both are published before you open an account, which is the difference between planning a transfer and discovering it.
One honest caveat belongs here.
MEXC's FAQ states that not completing verification may affect access to certain services, such as deposits, withdrawals and trading, depending on the regulatory requirements in your region.
The answer that governs your account is the one on your screen, not the one in any article.

Who should plan around which limit?

If you move large amounts occasionally, the axis that matters is verification, since both platforms gate their highest limits behind it; if you move funds constantly in smaller sizes, the mechanics matter more than the ceiling, because a net basis and a shared channel pool change how fast the allowance refills.
Plan around Gate's limits if you hold a VIP tier that already sits above the entry band, or if you are in the EEA where the KYC table applies and you can ask support to raise it.
Plan around a published tier table if you would rather know your ceiling and your processing window before you deposit anything.
Either way, check your own limit before you need it, and send a small test amount on any new route before committing the full size.
If the reason you are reading this is that you intend to move funds off the platform, the step-by-step mechanics and the three traps that catch people are in our guide to moving funds off Gate, and the wider platform picture is in our review of Gate alternatives.

The MEXC View

We publish this on a platform that competes with Gate for the same traders, so treat the comparison table as a starting point and check both help centres yourself.
Gate deserves real credit on one point here.
Its status labels name the platform stage and the chain stage separately, which is the distinction most withdrawal anxiety turns on, and that distinction resolves a large share of withdrawal anxiety on its own.
Refusing to publish a fake precise processing time is also defensible, since the honest answer genuinely depends on the chain.
The criticism is about assembly rather than policy.
"When the limit is a function of two inputs and each input lives on a different page, with one of them scoped to the EEA and dated 2023, the user cannot compute their own answer," says Sarah Chen, who compiled the tables on this page.
That is also why every number here carries the page it came from and the date we read it, including our own, and why our survey of how twelve exchanges publish their fees scores disclosure separately from price.

Availability and regional notes

Limits and processing times only matter if the platform is available to you, and availability differs by region for both platforms discussed here.
MEXC is listed on the European Securities and Markets Authority register of entities providing crypto-asset services without the required authorisation, following a decision by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets in September 2025.
Readers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom should treat this page as reference information only and use a platform authorised in their own jurisdiction.
MEXC does not serve users in the United States, and readers there should use a platform registered with the relevant United States authorities.
MEXC announced its exit from the Netherlands on 25 August 2026, with an offboarding deadline of 31 October 2026 and final offboarding on 16 November 2026.
Our full assessment of the platform, including where it falls short, is in our MEXC review.

Gate.io withdrawal limits: frequently asked questions

What is Gate.io's withdrawal limit?
It depends on both your VIP level and your KYC status.
The fee page shows 3,000,000 USD per 24 hours at VIP 0, and the Gate EU page shows 100,000 USDT before verification.

Is the Gate withdrawal limit really 100,000 USDT?
That is the unverified row of the KYC table on Gate EU's help page, dated 30 January 2023.
It is not the only figure Gate publishes for a new account.

How do I increase my Gate withdrawal limit?
Complete verification, or move up the VIP ladder, since Gate states the limit depends on both.
EEA users can also request an increase from support.

When does the Gate withdrawal limit reset?
The Gate EU page states the limit resets at 15:00 each day and is counted on a 24-hour net basis.
Deposits of mainstream coins within the window can raise the available amount.

How long does a Gate withdrawal take?
Gate publishes no figure and names network congestion, security reviews and blockchain confirmation times as the factors.
MEXC states a transaction ID is typically generated within 1 to 60 minutes.

Why is my Gate withdrawal still pending?
Check which status it shows, because Processing is platform side and Done and Blockchain Pending is waiting on chain confirmations.
The second one is not waiting on Gate.

Can I cancel a Gate withdrawal?
Only while the status still allows it, and a cancelled withdrawal returns the amount to your balance.
Once it reaches the blockchain it is irreversible.

What if I forgot the Memo or Tag?
Copy the transaction ID and contact the receiving platform, since the funds arrived at their address without your identifier.
Neither platform can reverse a confirmed transaction.

What are MEXC's withdrawal limits?
Primary KYC allows 80 BTC per 24 hours, Advanced KYC 200 BTC and Institutional KYC 400 BTC.
Access to specific services can depend on the regulatory requirements in your region.
