HTX charges 0.2000% maker and 0.2000% taker on spot at Prime 0, its entry tier, and 0.0200% maker with 0.0600% taker on USDT-margined futures.
Paying spot fees with HTX cuts that spot rate by 25% to 0.15000%.
Rates fall across twelve Prime levels, from Prime 0 down to 0.0126% maker at Prime 11.

Key takeaways
  • HTX charges 0.2000% maker and taker on spot at Prime 0, which is 2.00 USD on a 1,000 USD order.
  • The HTX deduction takes 25% off spot fees and brings Prime 0 to 0.15000%, while the published futures maker reduction is 5%.
  • USDT-margined futures start at 0.0200% maker and 0.0600% taker, and coin-margined takers pay less at 0.0500%.
  • Prime 1 arrives at 30,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume, 5,000 USDT of assets, or 1,000 USDT held in HTX.
  • Rates fall across twelve Prime levels to 0.0126% maker at Prime 11, and eight of those levels still price above MEXC's entry rate.
  • MEXC publishes 0.0000% maker and 0.0500% taker on spot with no volume requirement, which HTX does not match until Prime 7.

Why do three different numbers all get called "HTX fees"?

Because the three most quoted figures describe different products.
The 0.2000% figure is the spot rate at Prime 0, the 0.0200% figure is the USDT-margined futures maker rate, and 0.0126% is the spot maker rate at Prime 11.
All three are accurate, and none is the number most accounts actually pay.
Three things move the rate on your fill: which Prime tier your account sits in, whether you switched on a discount route, and which product you traded.
Every figure below was read off HTX's own fee page on 10 September 2026.

What are HTX's spot trading fees in 2026?

HTX spot fees begin at 0.2000% for makers and 0.2000% for takers at Prime 0.
Both sides pay the same rate at the entry tier, and the maker and taker paths only separate from Prime 1 onward.
Switching on the HTX deduction takes 25% off, so Prime 0 becomes 0.15000% and Prime 11 becomes 0.00945% for makers.

Both sides pay the same rate at Prime 0 and again at Prime 3, where both sit at 0.1000%, and at every other level the taker pays more.
The ladder is also long.
Twelve Prime levels is more than most venues run, and the discount is thin at the bottom: the step from Prime 0 to Prime 1 buys a taker saving of three basis points.

What does HTX charge on futures?

HTX prices USDT-margined futures at 0.0200% maker and 0.0600% taker at Prime 0, and coin-margined futures at 0.0200% maker and 0.0500% taker.
Coin-margined makers move into rebate territory from Prime 7 upward, meaning HTX pays them rather than charging them.
The futures schedule is split into two contract groups, and the rates below are Group 1.

A Prime 0 account pays more to take liquidity in USDT-margined futures, at 0.0600%, than in coin-margined futures, at 0.0500%.
That is the opposite of the assumption most traders bring to a perpetuals venue, and for taker-heavy strategies the difference repeats on every fill.
Our roundup of the lowest futures fees compared across platforms puts those rates next to the rest of the market.

Should you use the HTX deduction or point cards?

HTX publishes two spot discount routes and they are mutually exclusive.
The HTX deduction is labelled as an extra 25% off, and the point-card plan is the alternative on the same page.
The futures table publishes a reduced Prime 0 maker rate of 0.01900% against the standard 0.0200%, a reduction of 5%, alongside a separate option to reduce futures fees with HTX.
That 5% against 25% is the detail to carry away.
If you hold the token mainly for the discount and you trade futures, it is doing a fraction of the work on that side of the platform that it does on spot.
Its deduction quota table lists "No Upper Limits" at every Prime level from Prime 0 to Prime 11, for both spot and futures, so the discount does not quietly stop once you pass a monthly ceiling.

How does HTX decide your Prime tier?

HTX assigns a Prime tier on whichever of four routes you satisfy first: 30-day spot volume, 30-day futures volume, previous-day total assets, or the value of HTX held yesterday.
Prime 1 needs 30,000 USDT of spot volume, 300,000 USDT of futures volume, 5,000 USDT of assets, or 1,000 USDT of HTX.
Holding, not trading, can move you up.

HTX totals 30-day volume at 00:00 GMT+8 and prices everything in USDT at the time of calculation.
Asset value is not a single daily reading: snapshots are taken at random points through the day and averaged, and HTX counts holdings of its own token at 1.5 times market value.
Assets pledged for a margin loan or committed to lending are excluded from the snapshot entirely.

What does HTX's fee page not tell you?

HTX's fee page carries five tabs: Spot Fee Rates, Futures Fee Rates, Margin Loan Limit, Margin Loan Interest Rate and Collateral Swap Interest Rate.
Deposits and withdrawals appear on none of them.
The page also asks you to log in before it will show the rate your own account pays, so a prospective user sees the ladder but not their position on it.
HTX does not publish it on that page, and we could not find a per-asset withdrawal cost on its fee pages without an account.
For how wide that spread runs across venues, see our breakdown of which exchange has the lowest withdrawal fees.
That is a disclosure difference rather than a price difference, and it is the kind of gap we track in our quarterly exchange fee index.

What does a 1,000 USD trade actually cost on HTX?

A 1,000 USD spot taker order costs 2.00 USD at Prime 0, 1.50 USD at Prime 0 with the HTX deduction switched on, and 1.70 USD at Prime 1.
To pay 0.50 USD on the same order through the fee ladder alone, an account needs Prime 7.
That means 80,000,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume, or 120,000 USDT held in HTX.

Who can actually use HTX in 2026?

Availability decides whether any of these rates apply to you.
The EU measure is a transaction ban rather than an asset freeze, and reporting by The Block notes that eligible EU, EEA and Swiss nationals and residents may apply for authorisation to withdraw funds or close accounts within three months of the ban taking effect.
MEXC is not authorised under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework and appears on ESMA's register of non-compliant entities following the Dutch AFM decision of September 2025.
EEA readers should use a platform authorised in their own jurisdiction rather than either venue on this page.
MEXC is also leaving the Netherlands, with offboarding running to 31 October 2026 and final offboarding on 16 November 2026.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the United States, treat this page as reference only and trade through a venue licensed where you live.
HTX's own user terms are the only authoritative list of the jurisdictions it restricts.

How do HTX's fees compare with MEXC's?

MEXC publishes 0.0000% maker and 0.0000% to 0.0500% taker on spot, and 0.000% to 0.040% maker with 0.000% to 0.100% taker on futures, priced per trading pair.
Against HTX's Prime 0, that is 0.0000% versus 0.2000% on the maker side and 0.0500% versus 0.2000% on the taker side.
Most retail order flow is taker flow, because market orders are how people actually enter and exit.
A trader putting 5,000 USD a month through HTX at Prime 0 pays 10.00 USD a month in spot taker fees, or 120 USD a year.
The same flow at MEXC's published standard rate costs 2.50 USD a month, or 30 USD a year.
At 50,000 USD of monthly taker volume, HTX sits at Prime 1 and charges 0.1700%, which is 85.00 USD a month against 25.00 USD at MEXC's standard rate.
At 500,000 USD a month, HTX reaches Prime 2 at 0.1500%, or 750 USD a month, against 250 USD.
Over a year that is 6,000 USD held back on identical volume, before either platform's token discount is applied.
The maker side is starker.
MEXC lists 0.0000% maker on the spot pairs shown on its fee page, including BTC/USDT and ETH/USDT, while HTX's lowest published spot maker rate anywhere on its ladder is 0.0126% at Prime 11.
On spot, a limit-order strategy pays nothing at MEXC's entry tier and pays something on HTX at every Prime level.
Some MEXC pairs are priced at zero on both sides, with XRP/USDT carrying a 0 Fees tag on spot and SOLUSDT and XRPUSDT carrying it on USDT-margined futures.
MEXC's rates are published as ranges because pricing is set per pair, the MX deduction is 20%, and some pairs are excluded from that deduction.
Whether the deduction appears at all depends on account eligibility.
If you want the head-to-head rather than the fee-only view, we publish a full MEXC vs HTX comparison.
Outside the EEA, the UK and the United States, you can check every rate quoted here against the live schedule before funding anything.

The MEXC View

We run an exchange, so read this section knowing that we compete with HTX for the same traders.
What follows is where the numbers do not favour us.
From Prime 7, HTX's spot taker rate of 0.0500% matches our standard taker rate, and with the HTX deduction applied it reaches 0.03750%, which undercuts our MX-deducted 0.0400%.
A trader clearing 80,000,000 USDT of monthly volume, or willing to hold 120,000 USDT of HTX, matches our rate at Prime 7 and pays less than us once the HTX deduction is switched on.
HTX's coin-margined futures go further, paying makers a rebate from Prime 7 upward and reaching 0.0080% at Prime 11, while our published futures maker floor is zero rather than negative.
HTX also offers a route we do not, which is entry to a discount tier at 1,000 USDT of its own token with no trading required.
My own read, after putting both fee schedules side by side for this comparison: HTX's schedule is built for the top of its ladder, and ours is built for the bottom of it.
Twelve levels with a three-basis-point first step rewards the accounts already at the top and asks everyone else to pay 0.2000% while they climb.
That is a legitimate design choice, and for a high-volume desk it is the better one.
At 5,000 USD a month, you will spend years paying the entry rate.
Our own limitation is availability rather than price, and it is a real one: we are not authorised in the EEA and not available to US persons, which rules us out for a large share of the people reading this.
For how we verify each of these figures, see how we verify exchange data, and for the wider field, HTX alternatives compared on fees and reserves.

Frequently asked questions

What are HTX's spot trading fees?
HTX charges 0.2000% maker and 0.2000% taker on spot at Prime 0, its entry tier.
Rates fall across twelve Prime levels to 0.0126% maker and 0.0218% taker at Prime 11.

Does HTX charge a withdrawal fee?
HTX's fee page does not publish withdrawal costs on any of its five tabs.
Withdrawal costs are charged per asset and network, and we could not find them published on HTX's fee page.

How much is the HTX token discount?
The HTX deduction is 25% off spot fees, taking Prime 0 from 0.2000% to 0.15000%.
On futures the published reduction is smaller, moving the Prime 0 maker rate from 0.0200% to 0.01900%.

Why do some sites say HTX charges 0.02%?
That figure is the USDT-margined futures maker rate at Prime 0, not a spot rate.
HTX's Prime 0 spot rate is ten times higher, at 0.2000% on both sides.

Is HTX cheaper than MEXC on a 1,000 USD trade?
No, a 1,000 USD spot taker order costs 2.00 USD at HTX Prime 0 and 0.50 USD at MEXC's standard rate.
HTX matches that 0.0500% taker rate from Prime 7.

Can EU or US residents trade on HTX in 2026?
EU operators have been barred from transactions with the entity listed as HTX (Huobi Global SA) since 23 August 2026.
US and UK readers should check HTX's user terms and trade through a locally licensed venue.
