According to Supple, South Korea’s Financial Services Commission reviewed the structural risks of single-stock leveraged ETFs before approving them but conducted no product-specific stress tests or simulations of the potential market impact from sharp declines in major index constituents such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. The FSC confirmed that its existing analysis consisted only of an internal product-risk review, individual-stock trading data, and a Capital Market Research Institute report. South Africa Releases Draft Crypto Asset Manual, Clarifying Cross-Border Transfer Reporting Requirements for the First Time
According to Odaily, South Africa’s National Treasury and Reserve Bank jointly released a draft Crypto Asset Manual that clarifies regulatory and reporting requirements for cross-border crypto transactions for the first time. Transfers from locally authorized crypto service providers to overseas platforms or non-custodial wallets would be classified as cross-border transactions and must be processed by authorized providers and reported to the Reserve Bank’s Financial Surveillance Department. Individuals may transfer crypto assets abroad only within their existing foreign-exchange allowances. Crypto transactions conducted in rand through local platforms would not require reporting, and public feedback may be submitted until September 30.

Boltz recently suspended its swap services indefinitely after reporting an increase in AI-assisted cyberattacks and several contained vulnerability exploits. Its non-custodial design meant that user funds were never at risk, but wallets relying on Boltz’s Lightning Network swap infrastructure, including AquaBitcoin and BULLBITCOIN, experienced service disruptions. During the suspension, users should remain alert to fake support representatives, fraudulent recovery tools, and impersonation swap websites. Attackers may attempt to induce users to install malware, disclose seed phrases, or transfer assets to incorrect addresses. Users should verify the service status exclusively through the official channels of Boltz and the affected wallets, avoid “compensation” or “restore swap” links received through private messages, never disclose seed phrases, private keys, or wallet backups, and refrain from repeatedly initiating swaps or attempting to continue incomplete transactions through unknown platforms until alternative infrastructure has been deployed.
